One day, Kyoko overhears Sho telling his manager that he was basically using Kyoko as a maid. Devastated and heartbroken, she unleashes immense hate for Sho. She swears her revenge by planning to surpass him in the entertainment industry.

Kyoko is determined and will stop at nothing to get her revenge. She enters the industry at the same agency as Sho’s rival, Ren Tsuruga. Ren can’t accept her reasons for being an actress and their relationship doesn’t start off too well.

As they interact more with each other things start to change...

Gaining more experience in the industry, Kyoko begins to reinvent herself. She slowly regains love for herself and compassion for others.

Skip beat is a mixture of drama, comedy and romance. There are several great comedic moments which will make you laugh out loud and lots of energetic and motivational moments which will have you cheering Kyoko on.

Her pink ‘Love me’ uniform is ridiculous, but you will learn to love it, just like she did.

Great characters and plot. Definitely one for the ever growing list of anime to see.

Seen it? Which of Kyoko’s acting scenes was your favourite?
